Lady Lemon

Today I woke up at 5:50a.m. to attend morning yoga class at 7a.m. for the first time. Thanks to Paola, who raise me from the bed.

Was it hard? No (honestly, a bit).

Was it great? Yes!

I used to do yoga by myself in the evenings or even at nights. You go to bed directly after practice, so dreams are always colorful. Plus it helps you to fall asleep in a moment. I had some troubles with that before. But today I'm proud of myself. It's not just too early, it's also Friday! Favourite and the hardest day of the week.

It's very wise to start your day doing yoga. You're just from the bed, the brain is not activated yet to send you stop signals. And the city is way beautiful! Empty streets, rising sun, animals (yoga center is just near the zoo). Next time I take a camera along with me. 

I left the class with the extreme concentration, feeling every muscle, felling power, open to the world. Isn't it great, really?!

So after the body pleasure the time has come for soul please - I chose my new snaky-lemon sandals and a lemon dress.

Simple treasure

These sandals are my main find of April. The mix of snake skin, lemon and neutrals beige and black - it's just me. 

I found them standing alone in my size among their boring brown brothers. And I found them in Zara. Now I admit, Zara shoes are wearable, comfortable and gorgeous.

Spring restyling. DIY

Горькие шутки про 61-е (и тд.) февраля наконец закончились, в наш славный город пришла весна. Листвы еще нет, но улицы уже преобразились. Как гору с плеч, скинули шубы и теплые пальто модники столицы, запестрели цвета юбок в пол, город вздохнул с облегчением. 

* Bitter jokes about February 61st (and so on) came to an end finally. Our nice city is in spring now. There are no foliage yet, but streets already look different. As a load has been taken off one's mind, fashionistas threw off furs and warm coats, colors of maxis flickered around, city breathed freely. 

Да, мы ее ждали. Ждали утомительно. Но пришла весна неожиданно, как всегда, застигнув врасплох. И пусть я была не подготовлена, зато так же резко на меня обрушился энтузиазм творить.

Долго не раздумывая, я занялась рестайлингом своих любимых кед. Несочетаемостью деталей они меня сразили наповал. Достались в подарок загадочным образом еще 2 года назад и выглядели вот так:

* Yes, we'd been waiting for spring for quite long. But it came unexpectedly, as always took by surprise. And even though I wasn't ready for it, enthusiasm to create fell on me sharply as well.

I started immediately restyling my favorite pair of sneakers. I was dazzled by their incongruity at once. I got them as a gift mysteriously 2 years ago and this's how they looked:

Однако же носить их мне почти не пришлось. Надену раз, и светло-серая замша превращается в грязно-серую. Неоднократная химчистка - это ни разу не экономно, да и не сильно эффективно. 

Поэтому замшу я покрыла серебром. Принцип тот же, как и с туфлями маминой молодости.

* However, I happened to wear them not as often as I expected. Take on them once, and light gray suede become dirty gray. Repeated dry cleaning is neither economical, nor effective.

Thus, I covered suede with silver. The process is the same as I did with my mom's youth heels.

Банка клея все еще почти полная - приносите свои башмачки на рестайлинг, не стесняйтесь!

PS. За два года существования эта обувь ни разу не была удостоена положительного комментария от моих друзей-мужчин. Любить их меньше я не стала, даже наоборот. Но раз уж я их публикаю, мне интересно устроить голосование. Напишите в комментах, вы за или против? =)

* The jar with glue is still almost full - bring your shoes to me for rebranding, don't be shy!

PS. During 2-year-old life in my wardrobe these sneakers had no positive comment from my male friends. My love to them didn't lessen, quite the contrary. Anyways, as I'm posting them, it's interesting to make a voting. Leave your comments, are you for or against? =)
