Love is Everywhere
Для меня Christmas’ом-Новым Годом-Рождеством в воздухе запахло уже с первых дней декабря *) С каждым днем возбуждение от предвкушения праздника увеличивается всё сильней и сильней. А праздник - это всегда подарки! Самый главный подарок для меня - счастливые глаза любимого человека. =) Пребывая в таком романтичном настроении, я нашла очень милую забаву на сайте Tiffany&Co - Love Is Everywhere.

Ted Baker Diary
There are no Ted Baker stores in Moscow. Honestly, I knew nothing about that brand before I found the store when shopping in Dubai, but it is worth mention! There are good suits for men and jackets + blouses + pullovers for women.
If you are now in Dubai, you have a chance to get Ted Baker diary. The only thing to do - spend over 1500 AED (apprx. 415 $). I find it cool in times when everyone’s around with Moleskine or Smythson.
By the way, it looks like a book of poetry *)

SADE. Cherish the day
Oh, how I love her band! I associate many special moments of my life with music. The most romantic moments are associated with her songs.
On 7th and 8th of November there were 2 concerts given by Sade in Crocus City Hall, Moscow. We were at the 2nd one. It was 1 hour late, but worth waiting. She is fantastic, the musicians are very talented. I couldn’t stop shivering with excitement!
This is “Cherish the day” sung an encore.

Film developing
To develop films and print photos in my own photo lab was a dream of my childhood. Now it is coming true!
I’ve found my father’s photographic enlarger. It’s retro :) made in 1977! Slava helped with the chemical part. Our first attempt failed, we spoiled a whole film. But the second one was better. Here it's getting dry:
And finally, I made this - first film photo printed in a home photo lab (in bathroom):
The process is very absorbing!
TIP: you may print photos in dark red light, but develop a film extremely in full darkness.

Cold Man
The day is coming to its end. It was long. It was cloudy. Not cold by temperature, but cold by its mood.
Monday 13th made me think of what I’d like to see on my Lover when it’s cold, no difference by temperature or by mood. Hence, you can see these 2 collages:

Nothing would be more predictable than white as the first summer color and lace as the fabric. Domenico and Stefano did a great job of reviving the latter. Inspired by their spring collection, almost every retailer concerns himself with having something white and lacy: from Dolce and Gabbana originally to Monsoon Accessorize.
Mine was bought in Barcelona and even doesn’t have any lable.
Pluses:
+ color and natural cloth won’t make you feel uncomfortable under the summer sun.
+ you got tanned, your skin color will play brighter.

You smile! :)
Thursday suddenly pleased me with a performance by Victor Shenderovich, a popular Russian satirist/writer/scripwriter. Thanks a lot to Paola who invited me to that event.
Victor was telling fascinating humorous stories about Soviet Russia. We could enjoy live jazz and blues between his tales. Paola’s and mine bodies were dancing even though we were sitting. %)
Victor was smiling all the time. Smile is such a simple gesture, but how meaningful it is. You’re well disposed to anyone kindly smiling. :)
The only thing we were upset about is that we know almost nothing about that time, Soviet Russia. We all should be aware of not only each designer’s name’n’brand but our history as well ! :)

Grey -> Color
There is a boom of COLOR in Moscow. It’s not about color blocking, it’s about color shocking. For those who aren’t ready to transfer straight from winter greys’n’blacks to colors, try to experiment by simply using following scheme:

Sharlotka
The second day of the third spring month - isn’t it a good day for the apple pie ?!? =)
I give you the easiest way to make apples eatable, if you have the same allergy on fresh apples as I do. This is Sharlotka - Russian apple pie.
- - 3 eggs
- - 1 cup whole wheat pastry flour
- - 1 cup white sugar
- - 2 apples (green better)
- - 1/2 teaspoon baking soda + vinegar drop
- - butter for baking pan
1. Mix eggs, flour and sugar by a spoon. When a mixture is thick, take a half teaspoon with baking soda and drop a bit vinegar on it to make it sizzle and effervesce. Drop this sizzling fluid in a mixture.
2. Preheat oven to 200-220°C.
3. Core the apples and cut them into pieces. 2 apples are quite enough. On the photo I used too much.
4. Grease a pan. Arrange apple pieces on the pottom of the pan. Pour the mixture over the apples. Bake until it’s lightly brown.

A couple of weeks ago Natasha and me were coming back from our friend’s country house on a local train. We were the only passengers in that 11th coach, and probably in the whole train. Thus, the catwalk found its models. :))

Winter vs. Spring
It has to be spring, but the suburbs of Moscow are still snow-covered. What can make a female more feminine and at the same time bring spring into the cold winter??
And the answer is - Yves Saint Laurent in color “Rose Paris” on the lips ! :)
